Abstract

Research Abstract: Youth Mental Health Youth mental health has become an increasingly important global concern due to rising levels of stress, anxiety, depression, and emotional challenges among adolescents and young adults. The motivation behind this research is the growing impact of academic pressure, social media influence, family expectations, and social isolation on the mental well-being of young people. The purpose of this study is to understand the major factors affecting youth mental health, examine the consequences of untreated mental health issues, and explore effective strategies for awareness, prevention, and support. The research was conducted using qualitative and quantitative methods, including surveys, interviews, and analysis of existing psychological and public health studies. Data was collected from students and young adults to evaluate common mental health concerns, coping mechanisms, and awareness regarding mental health services. The findings indicate that anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, and stress are among the most common challenges faced by youth today. The study also revealed that stigma surrounding mental health and lack of access to professional support prevent many young individuals from seeking help. The research concludes that early intervention, mental health education, supportive environments, and accessible counseling services play a significant role in improving youth mental well-being. Schools, families, communities, and healthcare systems must work together to create awareness and reduce stigma associated with mental health conditions. Future research will focus on developing community-based mental health programs, digital support systems, and preventive strategies that can provide long-term emotional support for young people. This study aims to contribute toward building a healthier and more supportive society for future generations.no
