NSRI chapters are institution communities for students at the same school, university, or academic program.

Create a chapter for your institution, add a school photo, and let students request membership. Chapter ambassadors review requests and accepted memberships appear on student profiles as affiliations.

Chapters are approved NSRI communities, not independent legal entities or school-endorsed organizations unless a school or institution explicitly states otherwise.

Who can start one

Students may request to start a chapter for a school, university, medical program, graduate program, PhD cohort, or academic affiliation. Approval is required before public listing.

Chapter responsibilities

Chapters help students connect around research access, events, study groups, outreach, research integrity education, and NSRI program updates.

Approval requirements

Chapter requests may be reviewed for accurate affiliation, responsible leadership, complete information, community fit, and compliance with NSRI expectations.

Branding rules

Chapters may use NSRI chapter language only as approved. They may not imply school endorsement, external partnership, or authority to publish unless explicitly authorized.

Reporting requirements

Chapter ambassadors may be asked to keep membership information accurate, respond to requests, report events or activity, and follow NSRI safety and conduct standards.

Revocation policy

NSRI may pause, archive, revoke, or remove chapters for inactivity, misleading affiliation claims, unsafe conduct, privacy concerns, or misuse of NSRI branding.
