Access policy
This page explains how NSRI makes research accessible, how authors retain rights, how journal and archive records are displayed, and how publication support works.
NSRI Student Research Journal is an online ISSN-assigned journal registered through the U.S. ISSN Center at the Library of Congress. Online ISSN: 3143-5653.
NSRI is committed to making accepted research records publicly accessible whenever possible. Journal publications and Research Archive records are intended to support scholarly visibility, citation, and long-term access for emerging researchers.
NSRI Journal publications are made publicly accessible through the NSRI Journal. Research Archive records may include NSRI archived submissions or research completed through another venue. Archive hosting does not necessarily mean the work was formally published by NSRI.
Authors retain ownership of their work unless a separate license or publication agreement states otherwise. NSRI may request permission to display metadata, abstracts, PDFs, citations, or external links depending on the publication pathway.
Where appropriate, authors may choose an open license such as CC BY 4.0. If no open license is selected or available, NSRI may display only metadata, citation information, abstracts where permitted, and links to the original record.
NSRI should not require payment for editorial consideration unless a separate approved fee policy exists. Any optional fees, scholarships, or publication support programs must be clearly described and must not affect editorial decisions.
NSRI may provide publication support, formatting help, scholarship support, or outside submission guidance for eligible researchers. Support availability may vary by program and funding.
If a research output was published or hosted through another journal, repository, conference, preprint server, school platform, or publication pathway, NSRI may include it in the Research Archive. In that case, NSRI should cite the original venue and should not imply that NSRI published the work.
Fees, donations, scholarships, or financial support do not influence editorial decisions, archive eligibility, publication status, awards, or research evaluation.
