The Impact of Sleep on Cognitive Function: Literature Review/Systematic Review

Literature Review

Description

Our research group will conduct a systematic literature review examining how sleep influences cognitive functions such as memory, learning, attention, concentration, and decision-making. We will analyze and synthesize findings from peer-reviewed neuroscience and psychology studies to understand the relationship between sleep quality, sleep duration, and cognitive performance. The group will identify common trends, evaluate existing evidence, and discuss the neurological mechanisms that explain how sleep affects brain function.

Through this review, we aim to develop a comprehensive understanding of the importance of sleep for cognitive health.
